A disturbing event took place in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, where video captured on camera showed a man brutally assaulting an elderly couple in daylight on February 24. The man who has been arrested by Gauribazar police was seen kicking and slapping both victims, who are said to be his neighbours, over a land dispute.
