Sameer Chadha, a man in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow, learnt on his own how to grow lemongrass and vetiver in 2015. He gradually also set up a distillation plant to extract essential oils from these crops and is now earning lakhs from the same, The Better India reported. The essential oils extracted are used in perfumes, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and even bio-pesticides.
