A Canada-returned man, obsessed with marriage, fatally assaulted his mother in Ahmedabad’s Ghatlodia area after his repeated demands for a bride were ignored. Vraj Contractor, 31, punched his 55-year-old mother multiple times, causing severe internal injuries. Despite efforts to save her, she was declared dead. Vraj has been arrested; police will investigate his mental health .
