Kento Morita, who joined Google in a contract role in 2019, admitted to lying in his interview about having family in the US' San Francisco Bay Area. Morita, who lived 500 km away in Santa Barbara, said he couldn't break his apartment lease for four months. "Bay Area rent felt sky-high...I lived in my car for 3 months," Morita added.
