A man accused of abduction and rape of a three-year-old girl in Lucknow was killed in an encounter with police on Friday. The crime unfolded in early hours of Thursday when he allegedly snatched the child from her mother's side while they were sleeping under bridge and fled on scooter around 3:30 am. The accused was identified as Deepak Verma.
