Hadi Matar, the American man who stabbed and partially blinded novelist Salman Rushdie on stage at a New York arts institute in 2022, has been found guilty of attempted murder. Hadi now faces a sentence of more than 30 years in prison. His sentencing date has been scheduled for April 23.
