Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge said Manipur is burning, yet Prime Minister Narendra Modi hasn't found time to visit. "Are the Manipuris not citizens of India?" he asked. "You travel around the country yet you are afraid to go there (Manipur), afraid to meet your people," he added. Manipur has witnessed ethnic violence between Kukis and Meiteis since May 2023.
