Manipur government has suspended internet in Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Bishnupur, and Kakching districts for five days amid tensions following arrest of Meitei leader Kanan Singh. The protesters torched tyres and furniture in Kwakeithel and Uripok, demanding release of Tenggol. The government's official statement stated anybody found violating the order will face legal consequences.
