Manipur has introduced Aadhaar verification process to curb identity fraud. Adult applications now require high-level clearance by the Special Secretary (Home). The state also made biometric updates mandatory for children at ages 5-7 and after 15. The move, based on MHA and UIDAI guidelines, aims to prevent Aadhaar misuse and block illegal foreigners from enrolment.
