Hundreds of Karnataka Congress workers belonging to the Muslim community resigned in Mangaluru, in protest against the state government's failure to curb communal murders in the Dakshina Kannada district. This comes after a sword attack killed Abdul Rahman, the secretary of a mosque, on Tuesday. Earlier this month, Suhas Shetty was killed by a group wielding swords and sharp weapons.
