One of the seven maoists neutralised during an anti-Naxal operation earlier this month in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur worked as a cook in a government school, police said. Identified as Mahesh Kudiyam, he carried a reward of ₹1 lakh on his head. "He was appointed by...village school management committee," police said. However, some villagers claimed he was not associated with Maoist organisation.
