Amit Hasda alias Aaptan, a Maoist with a ₹10 lakh bounty, was killed in an encounter with security forces in the Saranda Forest of Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district, police confirmed on Sunday. The operation yielded an SLR rifle, explosives, and other weapons. A widespread search operation is now underway to trace and dismantle remaining Maoist hideouts in the area.
