Markets in UP's border districts appeared deserted amid unrest in Nepal with locals expressing concern over disruption of their daily lives. "Normally, our markets thrive because Nepali buyers come here for daily needs. But now, markets are silent," chairman of the local nagar panchayat said. "Earlier, buses filled within 10 minutes, now it takes over an hour," a conductor said.
