Researchers at Forschungszentrum Jülich and the Leibniz Institute for Innovative Microelectronics (IHP) in Germany have created a material that has never existed before. It is a stable alloy of carbon, silicon, germanium and tin. Dubbed CSiGeSn, the new compound could enable advances in electronics, photonics and quantum technology, scientists said.
