The producer of hit 1997 film 'Titanic' revealed that Matthew McConaughey did not land Jack's role, the main lead, in the film because of his Southern accent. The late producer Jon Landau recalled in his upcoming memoir 'The Bigger Picture', that although Matthew had a strong audition, it was his refusal to drop Texas accent that cost him the role.
