Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav said on Friday that the situation to implement the new temperature range of 20-28° for air conditioners in India "may arise only after 2050." Bhupender stated, “I don't think it will happen immediately...capacities will be gradually built for it." Earlier, Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said the new temperature range would be implemented soon.
