Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL) has entered talks with the Indian Navy for the ₹70,000 crore Submarine Project P-75(I), with its bid opened on Jan 16, 2025. Earlier, MDL announced acquiring a 51% stake in Colombo Dockyard PLC for $52.96 million (₹452 crore), aiming to strengthen global presence, R&D, and ship repair capabilities.
