To strengthen India’s maritime defence, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited is set to sign a contract in June 2025 for the construction of three additional Kalvari-class submarines for the Indian Navy. These submarines are diesel-electric attack vessels, renowned for their stealth, versatility, and advanced combat capabilities, based on the French Scorpène design.
