In view of Navratri, the sale of meat, fish, and eggs has been banned in MP's Maihar and Umaria till October 2, district authorities announced. Maihar is home to the Maa Sharda temple, which is visited by lakhs of devotees during Navratri, officials said. "Maihar has been declared a religious city by the Tourism Department, SDM Divya Patel said.
