In a crackdown on medical misconduct, the Telangana Medical Council(TGMC) has suspended five doctors for promoting quackery and practicing unqualified medical procedures, putting patient safety at risk. Dr Kannaiah Thallapally of Livyoung Clinic in Jubilee Hills faces the harshest penalty, a full year suspension, for allegedly performing procedures far beyond his qualifications.
