Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud said meetings between state/central heads of government and Chief Justices of High Courts or the Supreme Court don't imply "that there's some deal cracked". He said, "We have to be in dialogue with (state) CMs...because they'll...provide budgets for the Judiciary...If we don't meet and only rely on letters our work won't be done."
