Meghalaya CM Conrad K Sangma laid the foundation stone for the beautification of the World War I Cenotaph in Tura, built to honour the Garo Labour Corps. The project aims to preserve the memorial’s legacy. He said all members of the Corps will be honoured upon completion and assured full government support for research and documentation.
