The Meghalaya government signed 13 MoUs with top research bodies to strengthen rural entrepreneurship. Under Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Vikas Mission (PMJVM), the move aims to convert local resources into eco-products like bio-fertilisers, dyes, nutraceuticals. CM Conrad Sangma said over 55,000 SHGs have been formed, and ₹50 crore was spent to stabilise key crop prices under the CM Assure scheme.
