Meghalaya’s Wallambok Lyngdoh, general secretary of MeSCMA, has been elected to the Governing Council of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) during its 61st AGM in New Delhi. Chosen from 16 contenders, he joins a new 11-member council for 2025–27. His election is expected to boost Meghalaya state and the Northeast’s presence in national adventure-sports platforms.
