Meitei group Arambai Tenggol surrendered their arms to the Manipur government on Thursday, after Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla urged all communities to give up looted arms. The group had earlier set conditions, including border fencing with Myanmar and NRC implementation. They had also sought Governor's assurance that armed individuals won't be arrested, and ST status will be given to Meiteis.
