Meta's chief AI scientist Yann LeCun will leave the firm to set up his own startup, Financial Times reported. This comes after Meta spent billions of dollars to build AI infrastructure and poached AI researchers from rival companies in the past months. LeCun is a Silver Professor of data science, computer science, neural science and engineering at New York University.
