Meta will stop political, electoral and social issue advertising on its platforms in the EU from early October. The move follows EU's new Transparency and Targeting of Political Advertising (TTPA) rules, which come into effect on October 10 and mandate clear labelling of political ads and disclosure of their sponsors. Meta has called the TTPA regulation "unworkable".
