Meta is developing 'proactive' feature on AI chatbots that can initiate conversations without being prompted, reports stated. The proactive chatbots will send "friendly" follow-up messages that refer to previous conversations to users who have already interacted with them at least five times within 14 days. The development is aimed at boosting user engagement and retention across Meta's platforms.
