Miscreants vandalised the statue of AIADMK leader MG Ramachandran (MGR) on October 5 night in Avaniyapuram near Tamil Nadu's Madurai. AIADMK leaders, including MLA R Ajanchelppavv and IT Wing Secretary Satyen, visited the site, protested and restored the statue with garlands. Party chief Edappadi K Palaniswami condemned the act, demanding immediate arrest of the culprits and strict legal action.
