Chinese and Hong Kong scientists, during animal trials, successfully deployed swarms of micro-robots inside noses to clear sinus infections, reports stated. Shining light through a tiny optical fibre heats up these robots, making them break through the sticky pus and reach the bacteria. The robots then kick off chemical reactions that break down the bacteria's defences, clearing the infection.
