A research presented at the 41st Annual Meeting of European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) revealed the presence of microplastics in human reproductive fluids. Commonly used microplastic polymers, including PTFE, PS, PET, PA, PP and PU, were identified in semen and follicular fluid. Microplastics are defined as plastic particles under 5mm in size.
