Microsoft saved more than $500 million in 2024 by transitioning call centre operations to AI-powered systems and increased both employee and customer satisfaction, Bloomberg reported, citing Chief Commercial Officer Judson Althoff. Earlier this month, the company announced plans to lay off nearly 4% of its workforce. The report added that AI generated 35% of the code for new products.
