Microsoft has revised its policies for underperforming employees, as per an email seen by Business Insider. "Former employees who left with zero or 60% rewards (lowest performance bracket) or during/after a PIP will not be eligible for rehire until two years after their termination date," the email said. Further, low performers "will not be eligible for internal transfers".
