Pakistan may witness a military coup as army chief Asim Munir is planning to replace Asif Ali Zardari as the President, according to multiple reports. Preparations have reportedly started to remove Zardari within this month. Notably, in July 1977, Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Pakistan's then army chief, had carried out a coup in the country.
