Ex-Shiv Sena MLA Sada Sarvankar sparked a row after claiming that current MLAs may get ₹2 crore as development funds, but he receives ₹20 crore despite not being an MLA. "That is why I'm visible at every inauguration, because my work ethic defines me," he said. "It's wrong that special funds are allocated to ex-MLAs," Sena-UBT MLA Mahesh Sawant reacted.
