MNS workers from Kalyan, Thane, allegedly assaulted the owner of an idli eatery, reportedly accusing him of making objectionable remarks about Marathi-speaking people. A recording of the derogatory remarks went viral on social media, and enraged party workers went to the location to confront the eatery owner in Kalyan East. The owner was physically assaulted and forced to publicly apologise.
