Former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin said India seamer Mohammed Siraj should "be a cushion" to Jasprit Bumrah and protect Prasidh Krishna, who is new on the side. Adding that Siraj has to regulate the leakage of runs and take responsibility, he stated, "In Test cricket, you also bowl for one another...Siraj can't just bowl aggressively throughout [his] spell."
