Mohanlal, the former President of Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), has refused to run for re-election if new polls are held. This comes after the ad-hoc committee's reported push for Mohanlal's presidency. As of now, source stated that the association may not conduct elections, allowing Mohanlal's committee to be reinstated and operate without a formal vote.
