More than 500 people were booked for vandalism after protests erupted following the death of a Class 10 student who was stabbed outside an Ahmedabad school. Police intervened after protesters allegedly assaulted teachers and the principal. JCP Sharad Singhal stated that the "protesters demanded a Crime Branch investigation, and the Commissioner has handed the case to the Crime Branch."
