Pratibha Bhatnagar, mother of Akshay who was diagnosed with autism as a child, left her job to educate her son. Akshay became the first student with autism in Rajasthan to be admitted to a mainstream college. He is also the first person with autism in India to clear a competitive exam and secure a government job.
