Lyricist Javed Akhtar said Hindi movies are made by directors who have migrated from north while south movies are made by people of those region. Javed stated Hindi directors dream in English as they've grown up in Mumbai’s cosmopolitan culture. He added movies of the south starring actors nobody knows in the north are doing great business.
