BJP MP Samik Bhattacharya asked if mosque stops full usage of runway of Kolkata airport. Minister of State in Ministry of Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, replied that airport has two runways and the secondary runway is used only when primary runway is occupied. Mohol added mosque is located adjacent to secondary runway and "displaces northern side threshold by 88 metres".
