Samajwadi Party MP Iqra Hasan addressed an all-male panchayat in Saharanpur’s Chapaur village, on October 12, condemning the vandalism of a Shiv temple and calling for communal harmony. She demanded strict punishment for the accused, regardless of religion, and criticised derogatory remarks made against Muslim women in the wake of the incident.
