AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday questioned the Election Commission of India (ECI)’s authority to "determine citizenship of voters". Taking to X, he wrote, "ECI must clarify who gave it power to determine citizenship of voters? This 'intensive revision' is happening right before a critical election...forcing poorest people to magically come up with documents that most won’t have."
