A 22-year-old engineering student, Udit Gayake, died after being allegedly beaten up with a stick by two policemen in Bhopal. Gayake, whose brother-in-law is a DSP in Balaghat, was returning from a party with his friends at night when the police spotted them in Piplani. The constables, Santosh Bamaniya and Saurabh Arya, who allegedly demanded a bribe, have been suspended.
