As'ad Abu Sharaiya, the leader of the Mujahideen Brigades, has been killed in an Israeli Defense Forces strike. Sharaiya was one of the leaders of the Hamas-led October 7 attack, during which he invaded Kibbutz Nir Oz, and was "directly involved" in abductions and murders of multiple civilians. IDF strikes also killed Mahmoud Kuhail, another top leader of Mujahideen Brigades.
