A Mumbai-based artisan is crafting Ganpati idols out of eco-paper instead of traditional clay or POP. The idols, made from layered paper pulp, calcium powder and natural dyes, dissolve in artificial ponds or buckets and are fully recyclable. The artisan has already received orders from the Indian communities residing in the USA, Canada, Dubai, Australia, and the UK.
