In Mumbai, a 21-year-old youth, Mayur, a resident of Lallubhai Compound, Mankhurd, and a student of Ruia College, died in a hit-and-run near Sion Bridge while riding his bike. Bystanders placed him in a tempo to rush him to hospital, but the driver abandoned him near a zebra crossing. He was later taken to Sion Hospital, where he was declared dead.
