A retired Mumbai doctor lost ₹1.47 crore in a stock trading scam that used an image of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to advertise itself. According to the police, the ad guaranteed profits of at least ₹60,000 on an investment of ₹21,000. The victim made investments over a month, but his trading account disappeared when he tried to withdraw the money.
