A Mumbai-based IT professional lost nearly ₹25 lakh over 55 days in a stock market trading app scam. A woman called the victim, offering him stock-market tips, and asked him to download an iOS trading app. Over several weeks, he transferred money into 16 different bank accounts. He even received ₹30,000 as profit but was unable to make any withdrawals.
